What does it really take to launch a successful high ranking website?

    I want to launch another website that is focused on the technology industry but I am worried that it won't do any good. I was just wondering what does it really take to rank higher in Google? Should I plan my domain carefully, do on site and off site SEO? Things like that really.

    "Hard Work" DO not aim for quick success. Wait for an year and keep placing good contents on it, you might also try finding related blogs and comment there. Ans all the SEO thing which you know.

    Yeah SEO is a must really. What do you mean by hard work? Do you mean spending time on creating quality content for the website?

    You need to start out with a really good keyword strategy, without that it's hard to get the type of traffic you really need from your rankings.

    I never really get involved with keywords and all that. Once I've chosen my keywords, how do I rank higher for those?

    Any website is does not have an high PR from the beginning when website is launched.You have to carry out SEO so as to promote and get good PR for the website.Yes of course you will have to select your domain carefully and carry out On-Page and Off-Page SEO to get high PR for the website.
