What does it mean when you're getting basically nothing for clicks?

    Hey All,

Trying to be careful here that I'm not doing anything against the TOS for Adsense. But just wondering what it means or why clicks would generate nothing for "Estimated earnings". Not that I have many clicks so far since I only started the site on April 1st. But just curious

    It means "invalid click activity".

Sorry if I sound illiterate, but what does that mean? :p I haven't clicked on them myself, so how is it somebody else can invalidly click on it?

You say you had too many clicks and but no earnings. Adsense doesn't pay only if the clicks are invalid. Somebody else can accidentally click then suddenly turn back to your site. This is just one of the possibilities. Your site may be receiving surf traffic or something like that which is not allowed. There are many possibilities. You may read their tos to learn the all.

This happens sometimes. Try adding channels and place a new adsense ad unit on your website. Install stat counter code in your site to track the adsense clicks

I never had too many clicks. But that makes sense now :) Maybe Google has it setup where if someone clicks and exits the site too fast they don't count it. Thanks for the help!

Sorry you said "many clicks" in your first post but I read it as "too many clicks". As I said there can be many possibilities to make a click invalid. All of those are listed in their TOS. You should find the reason and resolve it. Otherwise they can ban your account because of invalid click activity.
