What does it mean to "keep the content intact"

In an free ebook that can be freely distributed as long as "the content remains intact", does that mean you can take the content from the pdf and put it on your website as long as you dont remove anything?

Or does "remain intact" mean it has to stay in pdf format?

Well, yes it would mean that and also that you cannot edit, remove or add anything to it. Basically distribute it as it is provided to you. Nothing more and nothing less.

Technically, it means you can distribute the ebook. Taking the content out and putting on your website would be a violation of those terms.

That's based on what you are saying--"ebook is free to distribute."
