    Agreed!

I cannot believe the global number of people who are performing the dog's dance just because that is what Google wants

    attick,

Hey, first let me say I am not a successful IM'er, yet. I do write affordable content though. Have been doing so about a year now. This experience has showed me that if you want to get ranked high on google it is not hard.

You just need good, unique content. Having content, written for you, or by yourself and posted to article directories will get you ranked very quickly.

You want content written about your niche and rich with keywords and or long tail keywords that users search for. These keywords are very important. It is not necessary that your article be long. You only need 250 - 300 words.

Your keyword should be in the title, first and last sentence and somewhere in between. Submit the article to one or more of the article directories and you will get your rank.

Repeat with new content at least once a week. The more content you submit the higher you will get.

    Content is king.

Some of the directories do not allow links in the article but do allow them in the sig blocks or at the end etc. You can put links in your article. If the article directory does not allow them it will remove them.

You do not have to do anything special to get ranked.

I am still learning or trying to learn the IM game. Being unable to work outside and denied disability, writing is the only thing I can do to help save my family. Hopefully, I can gain some more knowledge and get a couple of successful campaigns going.

Anyone want to help mentor me shoot me an email.

I will tell you that content is king, and a good niche is tied with number one. If you have the wrong niche your sunk.

Anyone needing affordable content, hit me up, I write $3 articles. Shoot me a PM or mail, dlbott(at)hotmail

    Good luck

    FIIK (F - if I know)

I had a page rank 3 article directory but its dropped off the Google radar. Yahoo seems so much easier to please - just put up content and they will index it and once its indexed it stays indexed with them. But Google - one second they love you and the next they don't. I've simply given up, most of my website traffic non search engine anyhow so what do I care - only 30% or less comes from search engines the majority 70% is repeat visitors or from other websites.

Content. It will get you just as far as buying links. It is also not as risky.

Co-founder Larry Page wants Google to be a search engine that "understands exactly what you mean and gives you back exactly what you want."

And, in the same time, "by analyzing the full structure of the web, Google is able to determine which sites have been voted the best sources of information by those most interested in the information they offer."

So, to be number one in Google for a keyword (keyphrase), it takes a site (page) with links from the most relevant sites (pages) in your niche. I guess...

exactly right, google really likes fresh content, as well as it should be unique and qualitative too.
Well, who told you tags, are not important?

Just optimize your title tag and description tag very well, you will find good results. Don't just do keyword stuffing in it.

I still don't get it. I have a few competitors and the top rankeed haven't changed their coontent in years...and consistantly stay at the tiop. The number 1site has been there for well over a year and I can' find if they are even using tags per their coding. What do they do to stay up?

Google want your money! they want to stop SEO work so people spend their budget on Adwords instead of SEO and buying backlinks, at least that's my somewhat cynical viewpoint! I think the answer to your question though is that Google want good content and relevant backlinks!

Keep adding new content if you want to remain on same positions if you will stop for few days the young mad webmasters will pass your positions , i have seen many new comers in blogging daily posting 7 to 9+ posts daily but after few days most of them get vanished . You cant earn $$$$ in few days .
