give it a few more months...8 months or a little more is the magic number usually where i see significant changes. I HOPE you SEO-ed your site for this keyword too. Submit your site using THIS keyword...make sure this KW *is* in your page-title and description too ! What is your site/kw ?? "I have never put in so much work on any of my sites (they rank pretty well) that i did on this site!" If the work is done wrong then you can put in as much as you want...you need to know WHERE and WHAT to work on ! I have sites with ZERO traffic and no backlinks which rank on page #1 for keywords like "cheap graphics" "cheap graphics cards" just because i SEO the site ! Page-title and description is extremely important
HA HA HA... Insurance and Mortgage refinance.. YOU WILL TAKE 6 years. And moreover, It is not just age. It is a matter of Trust rank. Concentrate on relevant PR8 links and see. Also it Looks like Google has some exception logic in their algorithm for keywords that are targetted by professional online EARNERS.
It took me 14 months to get rank #10 for the term "website traffic". Then I slacked off and I'm down to 34. Now I have to work my way back up again. The moral is don't give up.
Den all ya gots ta do is keep gettin dem der backlinks to yur site till yur site is past the aging delay.
I have the same problem. My site is about 6 month old. It's very frustrating sometimes, when you put in a tremendous amount of work and not getting the results nor the money you want. Very difficult.
I do agree that age is a big factor, but in the recent past I have seen this scenario changing. One of my site is just 3 months old and ranking for its main keyword on the first page of google. I agree that I am competing with some of the big boys in the niche. Follow this link and you will see that my site is on 10th. position. It will be really tough to reach the top, but at least I am getting some targeted traffic. Just my 2 cents! Cheers.
Six months, well optimized, lots of links. . . could very well be sandboxed. Have you looked at other telltale factors such as not ranking for the site's own name. There are also a couple of decent 'sandbox detection' tools out there. /*tom*/
hi delsia, age is most important when onsite optimisation is poor. if you PM me your url and targeted search term(s) i'll check it out for you
