What does Google Think Your Site is About?

With all the work done on our sites to optimise our keywords, there is a tool in Google Webmasters Tools that allows us to see it from Google's perspective.
Once in your Webmasters Tools, go to Statistics \ What Google Sees and have a look at the three sections.

In External Links to your Site - this shows the anchor text in order of the number of times it has found each version.

In Your Sites Content - number of times Google has counted each word in your site.

In External Links to your Site (again) number of times Google has counted each word in you anchor text

Now if your keywords are showing up at the top of each column then you are doing well. However, if your keywords are down the list then your site is not as effective as you think for your chosen keywords. Often other repetitious words like home, click here, or even your business name can sneak above your keywords and reduce you keyword optimisation.

If you haven't got a Google Webmasters Tools account then you should get one and check out this feature. If you are using a similar tool then you should also use this tool because its what Google Thinks That Counts!!!!!!!!!
