I had this idea for a forum where, instead of posting with text, members would primarily use videos they upload to places like YouTube and then embed in their posts. I'm not talking about old videos or third party videos people find on youtube, but their own and of themselves responding to another video post, specifically made for the forums. Does anybody think this is a cool idea? My video posting forum I just thought of this and don't have a web camera of my own so I can't even contribute to my own forums yet. I'm also ignorant of the uploading times involved with video. Have they improved? Or are they still too long to make this kind of forum interaction practical? My idea for cutting down on uploading time was that members could upload a palate of videos with canned responses to the typical generic subjects and questions like a "Welcome" vid, for instance, to welcome a new member. And then, for the posts that required more specific info they could make a new video. Anyway, just my own twist on the various third party video posting forums I've seen around lately.
idea is nice but the colors in website very dark i suggest use of simple colors and change the theme also give a better logo
You should set the example, make the FAQ a video too! Interesting concept, not sure it will take off. Too much effort. If I had to videotape, edit, then upload all of my 9000 posts I'd have been 180+ years old by now.
I agree with the forum colors needing to be changed but like the idea. It might be a little tough to get started but if you could get a small following it would be kind of neat. I'd take the time to post on a forum like that.
jfyi: They are not my ads. They are the message board providers. from those who've commented on this and another forum, only two people liked the color and about five didn't. wow, I feel pretty strongly about the color contrast being pretty darn good but what would you guys suggest instead?
