What Does Everyone Think Of The New Digital Point Forum?

After almost a week spend here on the Digital Point,my impressions are awesome. I learned couple of things here,see that there are members who can help me,and get 3 likes that is by some users impossible. I love to spend time here on Digital Point.

 

Wow 3 months I was gone and now this feels like IPB? Is it IPB?

I like the design but wow I can't post to marketplace anymore! I need like 3 likes to become an established member? Am I not an established member??? I may not be active in the other forums/boards but this is kinda unfair for me.

All changed on New DP, I personally feel uncomfortable on new rules. I was a contributor, I need a job done and I see new rules. Feeling lonely

 

I have not been here in ages until a couple of days ago and have never used the marketplace much. But can you not bypass the restrictions by becoming a premium member?

 

I think it's great. Much cleaner, seems simpler (once you adjust to the changes from the old setup)

I think the changes are going to be for the better, and likely "clean up" a lot of the scam artists and spammers from before.

I think everyone feels this way at the beginning. But the new system is in place to help better the forum, so rather than complaining.. why not just get to posting?

The UI is great, but to become established the bar has been set to high. I am desperately posting where I think I can provide value, as I need a logo quite urgently and want to draw on the talent from DP, but I must achieve 3 likes first. Going from other peoples profiles it takes 100-300 posts before getting lucky and finding a couple established members who require help. So there is a faction of genuine, potentially valuable members that are being shunned too much too soon. Its been great exploring the site and getting to know the information gold mines on here, but I fear I may soon head elsewhere to seek a logo design.

 

Why don't you just look for a couple threads where you can add something you really know something about. One post alone can get you all the likes in the world.

 

is a great solution to delete many unreliable people who sold and bought smoke. because of this people we get here. I would have the recipe for this, delete access to an area of ​​the world. but it is better not to say it.

 

At this point the useful things I can contribute are: logo contest (cant yet), job offers for a site migration (cant yet), interesting information on politics and religion (cant yet), experience and things I´ve learned from running a webcam studio from Colombia (cant yet). So that leaves me to buy a 6 month subscription or try and get lucky to find an established member who knows less than me. But don´t worry I´ll keep trying, it´s worth the effort.

I prefer this layout to the previous layout, as the site seems a lot more modern and responsive. I think the 'like' system is a good way of controlling the issues of the past.
