please can someone with akind heart explain drip feed to me and how i can also do it to get traffic to my website that is almost ghost town despite my article marketing effort
There are slight variations to "Drip feeding", but the basics are this. You set up your site so that content automatically posts to your site every so often at a pre-determined interval. (This works best with Wordpress type sites). You basically load up 10, 20, 50 or however many articles that you can into your WP site and set them to post every day, 3 days, once a week or whatever. That is referred to as dripping the content to the site. This can be done manually or there are software programs available to help automate the setup process. "Drip Feeding" can also be used with Autoresponders, by loading up several messages ahead of time, to be sent out at predetermined intervals. It can also be used with Membership sites where the members content is "dripped" in on a monthly (or whatever) time frame for members to view.
Well, for one thing it keeps your site alive. If you have 50 written blog posts, you can have them setup to be posted regularly and pinged over a period of a month. Your site will be seen as having daily content. It is pretty clear that it would be beneficial for your visitors and the search engines. Cheers, prophet
There is no guarantee that "drip feeding" will increase traffic by itself. If the content and titles are keyword rich and the onsite SEO factors are in place, that will help. Each time a new post drips onto your site it will send out a ping notification to the search spiders. That can also help. But if your content and keyword research stink and the site has no SEO factors in place it won't matter what you do. And any traffic that shows up won't come back. Offsite SEO factors play a bigger role in gaining traffic in my opinion. (EX: building backlinks to the site, social bookmarking the site's content...etc)
