What does CTR mean referring to Adwords or adSense? What are some other good vocab words to know? Like Abbreviations?
CTR stands for click through rate, it's the ratio/percentage of the amount of visitors that clicked on an ad versus the amount of times it was displayed.
It's definitely something to watch out for, especially if there is a large presence in your specific market/niche online. From my experience with AdWords, there's not much you can do but hope that they get caught if someone is doing this to your campaign, other than perhaps set up link tracking so that when someone clicks the link, you can track the IP it came from, but Google already filters out unique IP's I would assume, so I doubt it would do you any good. Maybe someone else can help clarify that, as I've not much experience with AdWords.
ctr = click through rate it's a percentage of click per impression, so ctr = click / impressions * 100
