What does the benchmark mean in analytics? Under visits I have 402 and then Benchmark: 11 and then +3,555.45 in green. I understand that it compares the site to other sites of similar size but I do not understand the numbers.

If you are talking about 3,555.45 then it is percentage. Average industry visit is 11 while your site have 402 which is 3555.45% higher then industry visit. Calculate it yourself and will have answer.
