How do you know this? I searched for "alivedirectory.com" and "avivadirectory.com" and I don't see any difference compare with other sites. I know your site was listed differently, but it seems that is no longer this way. Is there any other ways to check?
Nevermind, it's alivedirectory.com that I'm having problem searching. I also noticed that are not many pages indexed only about 5k.
Hmmm, I always thought authority site was referring to the content and it's source rather than the reputation - learn something new every day.
Like Jeff - I have also made a list of Authority Web Directories on my blog -you may please read it. You also get some basic information regarding submission fee and proceedure on those directories.
I know previously an authority site was not necessarily given that title because of the special links. It was also because google felt it was a central hub for the topic, and therefore links from such a site were considered more important. What can be pretty cool is to have the #1 result as an authority link and also the #2 result. ex. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-50,GGLG:en&q=dance+forums&btnG=Search
Excellent example Mr. David. Now I'm more confused???? Does anyone really know what it takes to be an authority site? I only see example, but no specific on how to get there.
