Been checking my Google Analytics and seem to be getting a lot of visitors with 0 Avg Time on Site and a high bounce rate. What does this mean? Are they bots? How can someone visit my site for 0 seconds?
Avg. time on site is the average of all time all visitors spend on the site. e.g.- if 10 visitors visit the site during the measured period of time, and 1 visitor spends 60 seconds, 6 spend 120 seconds and 3 spend 240 seconds, the average is: ((1x60) + (6 x 120) + (3 x 240)) / 10 = 150 Then 2 min. 30 seconds is "Avg. time on site"
Yes, I understand that but I'm talking about when you drill down into specific visitors. It shows the Avg Time on Site as 0 seconds. How can it be 0 seconds? I'm sure even loading a page will take a few seconds.
They can be bots or your visitors are leaving your page before it is loading... Check if your website has a slow loading time or design is good or not. Regards ~Sam~
It can be 0 seconds, this can mean they only visited 1 page, to track how long someone has been on your pages the visitor needs to visit at least 2 pages.
I see, so if they only hit my homepage, didn't click around, and left after a few mins it would still show 0? Interesting, good to know. Thanks!
May be it's a bots, but i think that when the visitors comes to your website, website will take more load time and visitor will be exit your website, so it also count in 0 Avg time on site.. [h=2][/h]
