    Excuse the username.

I am currently designing a new hosting company with the assistance of a friend.

What do YOU look for in a hosting company? What could WE do to better accomidate your needs?

We will not oversell, what sorts of prices do you think would be appropriate for the following?

    5GB / 50GB Transfer
    15GB / 150GB Transfer
    50GB / 500GB Transfer

    5GB / 50GB Transfer - $4,99
    15GB / 150GB Transfer - $10,99
    50GB / 500GB Transfer - $20,99

May seem high but personally if you wish to become a good host and not oversell it's good to charge more for a qulaity service. Not some poxy $1/month hosting ;)

Good support and statistics like awstat included. I'd love a host with statcounter stats included. They rock.

But most of all a cpanel and fantastico. I HATE all the logins for godaddy. That is a cumbersome site and I cringe when a client has an account there. On button wordpress update would be great. You'd have to get with wp on that one. Blue Host is one.

Answer to my trouble tickets withing minutes, and solutions within an hour. Which is standard for my host. They cost a little more, but piece of mind is worth it.

When you make your living online. You can't afford to have servers offline. You pay for, and get good service.

Being cheap doesn't PAY. In more ways then one...

    Thank-you! Any more comments?

We will master customer support and not overselling.

    More feedback would be great!

    1. Use cPanel. I can't live without it now.
    2. Pack in a lot of features, such as PostgreSQL, Spam Assasin, Fantastico and Ruby on Rails.
    3. Use the latest versions of PHP, MySQL and PgSQL.

All the above is for Linux servers, since I never use Windows servers, I can't help if you want to go that way.

    4. Keep customer service quick, so you'll need people in different timezones.
