If a person is stressed out their mind is all over the place. I think it might be difficult under the circumstances to get oneself into a calm enough mood to begin to meditate.
Try exercising. Transfer energy from your mind to body movement. At least it will make you tired, rest enough, and wake up with a clearer mind to solve the problem.
Using essential oils, with oils in salt as well as bubbles....that's in the evening, but during three day playing and taking care of my horses I would certainly have to agree with that analogy
