What do YOU use to check positioning these days?

Curious to know what people are using to check their ranking positions for keyword phrases in Google and other search engine's these days?

I've developed my own tools since the early 2000's to do this, but was curious to know what is the latest and greatest these days? Any desktop based software's new to the market? How about web based checkers?

I've used this for many years. Is it still as good as it was in the past? Is there anything else out there that is equivalent to something like WebPosition or something like that?

Up until now i have always used the firefox plugin which puts a rank number next to each listing then I just use the find function to type in my domain.

I have been wondering about using a tool to make this quicker and think I will try the dp one mentioned.

    Thanks

...not only tells you where you were placed for various searches, but also impressions versus click throughs for each month. Free with a Google Account. I'm also a HubSpot Internet Marketing customer. $50/mo. but worth it!

I literally just search myself, some tools give inaccurate results, isn't there concern about the search engines not liking tools that perform things like these?

I usually just do a google search for my targeted keywords, and then look for my site. Besides doing a google search, google webmaster tools will tell you where you rank for certain keywords.

I have found a lot of them to be inaccurate. The one I use the most often to check SERPs is http://fastserp.com/

    It fairly accurate.

Shoemoney has a tool to check your position. I am not sure if it is still free or not but just check his website shoemoney.com to see. It should be on his home page on the top saying SERPS tool.
