    I will switch my website to ASP.NET so I'll look for a good ASP.NET hosting.

    i agree with you. i have a dedicated server as well but my smaller good sites are on godaddy and bluehost mostly. they are doing just fine

    Health niche is pretty tough :) but if you write quality stuff you can succeed. Yahoo hosting - to expensive. Start small and you will upgrade your hosting later when you need to.

    I never hear anything bad about Wordpress:).

    Wordpress is great for creating small websites/blogs, you have hundreds of beautiful themes which you can use for your websites.
    If you want to develop your site from scratch you can try Dreamweaver. it's the most popular and widely used website development applications. You must have some basic HTML knowledge, image editing knowledge will help you for designing your site in more professional way :)
