    i suggest blending text and link colors in your ads...and add a halfbanner on your content...and maybe a leaderboard at the top...

    Move the Adsense Link Unit at the bottom to the top and make it fit in the page.
    You can add more Adsense units like Fallen1 suggested.

    I agree... just add lively colors since your topic is defining the joy of being a father, in short, express also the joy you are feeling and the excitement of your adventure through the colors...

    I have a site (http://www.cebu-beaches.com/) that talks about beaches so i choose the template with blue color... its still new though,just started posting it last month...
