What do you think? This is for my new site, which will have lots of free wordpress templates.

The apple won't be there... it was just really plain and I didn't know what else to put there!

Suggestions, constructive criticism and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

 

I like it except the blues in the middle really don't match. You have a red, green, and white template. That is three colors. If you were to bring in a fourth it would have to be scarce.

 

i like it, but would make the navigation bar (top one) blue, not green.

oh...and definitely lose the apple, lol!
a smaller space above the logo and apple would stop it looking so bare i think

 

I think it's a really good design

 

I agree that the navigation bar should not be green, there is just too much contrast with the red. Otherwise it's a really nice design.

 

Very nice design! I love it Just one thing.. the blue on the bottom doesn't really work well with the red and green colors above. It would probably look nicer as a yellow or orange.

 

Ok changed the menu to a blue (the right blue?)

Got rid of the apple and added a template thing... maybe I should use different coloured templates, or arrange them in a different order or fashion.

Is this better/worse than the first draft?

 

I prefer the first draft with the green tabs on top It would have looks better with the blues.. changed to orange or yellow (that's what I meant). In my opinion though

 

Its very nice but saying that theres 1 thing i don't like, maybe make the outer glow on the boxes in the middle smaller. Other then that it's perfect.

 

Agreed, I don't like the blue menu bar as much as I preferred the green (personally)

The shadow is smaller, but because the quality is down its really big

 

And it's mainly to stay consistent with the green on your logo header.

Stick to the "watermelon" colorscheme since it's nice and fresh!

 

What if you toned down the red a bit, its very dominant.

 

So stick with the green header, but change the blue footer thing to a different colour?

So put a pale red as the background colour? Or maybe the same colour but put a pattern over the top which is pale red?

 

A classy very discrete pattern would be great.

 

I liked the second one best. Looks more professional than the others. The green on top does grab your attention but just to hokie!

The pattern in the background could be even more discrete, almost not visible, just to break up the red a little bit you know.

 

I think the second one is probably the best of the three since it uses blue rather than that green along with the colors being consistent.

 

second version looks good
