hello, I am a web designer, I am starting a new web design studio (http://spruce-ws.com) the only problem is that I don't have a portfolio yet. So I came up with this strategy:
    - I targeted only small business.
    - I have offered my service to develop simple yet create and beautiful websites with no money deposit required.
    - the client can pay only when he is fully satisfied with the end result. (which I am confident he will)

what do you think od the front page of the website, and do you think that this strategy will pay?

    Many thanks,

You can start with really small projects like creating landing pages and you can do first few for free of charge and then you can use those to create a portfolio. Many business beginners do that because obviously if you are creating landing pages for free, anyone would be interested. Hope this helps.

Offering services for free is a great way to kick start your business. People will like you and are more inclined to work with you in the future.

You should post samples on your main page so that people could get a sense of what they can expect....
