Civil Engineering I'm nearly finished on a BS in Mathematical Science. Concentration in Physics and Engineering. I'm leaning towards civil engineering for graduate school because my step-father works in heavy construction, building bridges. I find the construction of bridges fascinating. I took drafting in high school and found the field quite enjoyable. It just seems like a natural fit. Below is the bridge I'm most proud of.. it is the U.S. Grant Bridge. Its located in my home town and I actually got to help work on the construction of the new bridge (wirehandling & re-bar) . Its really amazing how these bridges come together.
kudos. to you for bridging worlds as they say in film school, there is no small part in any grand project, everyone has a hand in getting something made. gosh, i think the biggest thing ive helped made as yet is our school project.
My cousin is in Civil Engineering too. He is in Cooper Union. It would be great if you can build stuff in the city you love
Sounds like a good job, as long as you love it. BTW: Nice bridge, it reminds me of the one we have back home... but 1/2 as small
hey the career is good only if u like it ... i mean u can't do something which u don't like and obviously u like this so it is good for u.
