Amazigg is a website that brings together two of the most popular internet services: Digg and Amazon. The goal of the site is to show users Amazon products that have been submitted to Digg. The system makes it simple to find products that are most popular, cheapest, or downright quirky. You can explore products by date, category, topic, discovering top digged products in every section. For example, some of the interesting products: Uranium Ore, Bacon Flavored Jelly Beans, JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser/Tank. You can find more in the "All-time top digged products" section.
I think it's a really good idea. Digg is helpful in finding interesting things on the internet, why not also use it to help consumers find products that they want/need. It makes it easy to see how many people like a specific product and has easy access to consumer reviews on the product. I also thought it was fairly easy to navigate but some of the categories (like electronics) made it more difficult because there were more products to sort through.
