On my relatively new How-To website, i am currently experimenting on the best adsense placement in terms of size, image, text, combo etc. This week i am trying all text. Kindly take a look at it. Particularly the article pages, and let me know your thoughts on effectiveness or overall layout. Thanks.
Looking good, I like the link colors. On your page content try square ads (top-right of your content).
@Alex Thanks, i'll incorporate that into my weekly test and see how it goes. @fastestsms what kind of banner are you referring to?
Another suggestion, you can move the Adsense on the left side-bar to the right side-bar instead. It's more visible....
I've always had it on the right, and it wasn''t doing good. After some research two days ago, i found out the right side is a dead zone for clicks. You can see this adsense heat map to determine the most and least clicked ad placement locations. Thanks for the tip anyway.
But .info sites have lower ranking in SEO, you would also get lower earning from Adsense too if you use .info domain.
@linksolution I don't believe .info sites get lower ranking based on extension. They may be less popular, as people are more familiar with .com, .net and .org but with good content, it is not going to matter in the long run. As far as adsense earnings go, that is purely traffic based, and relevant ads showing up. You can take a look at my article pages (which are ALL original content) and you will see the ads are relevant to content. I get good click rates, so i am not being short-changed because of my domain. I just need to keep on writing quality content and promoting the site to boost my currently low traffic. You never said anything about the ad placement.
Yeah it would have looked better on a ".com" extension. Don't worry though, as long as the traffic is there you're all set I like the way you matched the font and color of your content with your ads
It is also funny that a .info site gets the number one spot when you search "google pagerank" or "pagerank"
