What do you think of the .tv TLD?

I found a good domain with the .tv TLD that's available and I was wondering what you thought of it? Do you think domains with this extension hold any serious value?

 

The value is largely based on the domain, and supply and demand.

 

What if it's an actual "word" that's catchy?

 

It is hard to put a price on it because we don't know what kind of demand there is for .tv domains yet, unlike .com's

 

Hollywood.tv is a pretty popular website. I've also seen some .tv websites that rank pretty highly in Google.

 

I think you'll find it become more popular in the coming years. You might have to sit on it for a few years though...

 

.tv is a popular extension but it has a very niche audience..dun think you might make some money until you have an awesome name..plus its quite expensive..

 

.tv could be big one day but the domain has to fit the extension. A lot of good keyword domains are available in the .tv extension because they don't make sense as video/multimedia or entertainment based sites.

 

It's great because of the whole "television" thing, but what makes it even better is that it doesn't have to be bound to location tracking...it's one of the few ccTLD's where you can turn the location off, in Google Webmaster.
