Am thinking of putting up a refurbished laptop and notebook online store. Just want to ask if this is a good idea? I believe that it can help students and others who need units but dont have much cash. Of course all products have 30 day money back guarantee. Your opinions would help. Thanks.

    i always buy apple refurbs
they are basically as good as new
top level manufaturer refurbs are a no brainer
big well known companies rarely put out crappy refurbs
if you can get factory refurbs, i would say it's a great idea

I usually don't have any problems with refurbished hardware. The only problem I've ever had was one time the fan was extremely noisy on a refurbished Dell, and they refused to replace it. I didn't know what to do, but I feel that the chances of something like this happening are very slim.

With the economy downturn recently, I think people will start to tighten budget. Refurbish items might be a good option. Myself is okay with it.

Refurbished items are great if you know the source is good. Like someone up top said, if it is a big company, their refurbs are almost always basically new systems.

If you think about the Cheapitems, then refurbished goods are fine else if you think about the Quality i 'll say no to refurbished items.

I will never use refurbished ones.

It is nothing wrong to purchase refurbished things. For people who could not afford to purchase new one it is good actually, if they do not face any further problem.

Refurbished computers/electronics/tv/hifi/gaming: No way (unless it's vintage). I like my toys to be in a box sealed by a 7 year old Chinese kid with a roll of clear plastic and a hot stick.

Refurbished white goods (fridges, clothes driers etc): Absolutely. Couldn't care less about them. If they have a 6/12 month factory warranty, then I'm in.

I think its a good idea to buy refurbished items, especially with the current climate and recycling and all that, personally I'd rather buy brand new items.

yeah, it isn't that big of a gamble if the company is reliable. Refurbished apple products are a great way to get apple products for cheaper.
