What do you think of our affiliate program?

We run a memes site that users can earn from. People seem to like the idea and find it fun. We have an affiliate program where affiliates earn 10% of their referrals earnings. Some people say that this ain't much while I personally think it's good because I am comparing us to ad networks that only offers 5% commission.

That said, we want to know how we can acquire more affiliates and who should we target? We tried contacting funny memes blogs and websites but they do not answer their emails. We also tried contacting social media influencers in the same space but most of them wanted upfront cash.

How can we make the program better without increasing the commission rate? Are there any websites we can join that will help us grow our affiliates? We tried Worrier Forum but only got one reply which was positive but they did not sign up with us.

Any ideas on how we can solve these challenges?

They can help you find partners for your program by providing access to a large number of webmasters and advertisers working in different niches. If you do not want to raise the 10% rate, improve the expected earnings and make promotion easier. Show candidates the average earnings per active referred user, typical retention, payout rules, and a few examples of content that produced qualified referrals. A recurring 10% can be attractive only when affiliates can understand the likely lifetime value.
Then reduce activation friction: provide a test account, ready-to-use examples, deep links, a short landing page, and a small weekly content pack. I would target creators who teach meme-page growth, community administrators, small humor newsletters, and tools serving meme creators; they already have the right audience and may be more open to performance-based deals than large influencers.
Track each stage separately: outreach, reply, signup, first promotion, first qualified referral, and first payout. If people sign up but never publish, recruitment volume is not the main problem; onboarding or the economics are.
