What do you think of online dating?

Online dating is a pretty big thing right now. I personally know 3 people that have met their spouses through the internet. Most of them through online dating sites such as eharmony or match.com.

I recently met someone on an MMORPG LOL! And I have to say I think times have changed. I remember when the internet boom first started and there was no way of knowing who you were talking to. If they had a picture it was already a huge bonus and you had no choice but to belive it was them!

Now you have webcams and skype and so many other ways of making it "real" right?
Plus the possibility of flying to wherever that person is at an "affordable" price.

So what is your take on online dating?

 

I think most of them are CPA offers. You will get a fake girl and then complete a offer for him.

Please don't say this game is Runescape or World of Warcraft? I know soooooo many guys who would pretend to be girls just to mess with other guys.

c'mon, we live in real life. So, why did we have to date online?

I think its for low self esteem people with no guts to ask someone out at a club or something of that sort. Lot of money in it tho.

Of course, everyone knows that online dating is just the wastage of time where many of them are fake ;-/

 

Never tried those services yet. But met someone in MMORPG and already keep in touching till now. Eventually if we are online in the game, would be spending much more time cuddling than levelling..LOLZ =D

 

Its not necessary that everybody would be fake in online dating. Its true that most of the web based dating services are retty much scam to cheat, fake and even spam. There exists pre-configured bots which will come and create a fake profile and then spoil the system. But its not always gloom and bad. Some people who cannot talk properly, well for them online chat and dating is like a god gifted opportunity. One gets to learn a lot about other person from the inside. I run an Online Dating site and tat is where i have known all this. Machoness or pretty faces are just momentary attraction, know a person from inside if you want to spend the life with them.

 

this is a good way but you can't trust anyone.....

 

it works for some people, not necessarily for all. it has its uses.

 

I noticed that some guys know their girl friends via online dating. But there are a lot of fake people and cheats there. So just be careful and don't trust it completely.

 

I do not deny there are real love in the internet world, but i won't fall in love with someone on internet, there are too much lies to understandeach other really!

 

it really depends on the website. as of now i am creating an online website, people especially girls need to have their contact number listed and approved only the sign up if the contact number are real and verify. this is to assure that all information are legal since sign up for asian girls especially philippine girls are free. you can check it on my signature.
