What do you think of my website

I've spent the last few days developing this website, freepaste.org.
I would like some comments about the design and features, although i am still working on the features.

Currently i am thinking of widening the whole thing as it would be better if it was wider IMO.

Also, has anyone else had any problems using wordwrap and <pre>, as it seems to chop words in funny places and push everything outside its set width.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

It's an interesting idea, should catch on. The site looks nice and clean, nice design.

First a couple of language points.
    it's membership
    it's were given

I don't use the PRE tag so cannot comment.
Why don't you edit the text yourself by, for example, putting a <br /> tag after were given

    Good luck,

    Mike

Good start. I think you should maybe try to change the color scheme. Maybe pay someone some dollars to make a more professional logo. I think the text link in the nav bar should change to a smaller font size and maybe another font. Spice up the design and you will probably have more people coming back and remembering your site.

Ok thanks for the comments, i think i have fixed the grammatical errors and i shall look into some redesign.

I'm using the <pre> tags so that indents are kept when displaying the data back (its on the view page). I shall have to look into it more.

It's an OK website, design isn't so crash hot and it could be worked on. Hopefully you can find a nice color scheme. You said you just made it so that's no problem, you can work on it ;).

The website has no CSS and JavaScript errors so that is also good, the concept it alright but I have seen similar paste bin kinda ideas.

Also make your Google ad blend in more with the site. Use a color that matches the site.

I like this idea..not quite sure what your intentions for it is..but what came to my mind when I saw it was sending personal messages or surprises to for instance your girlfriend or something..

Sure it could be used for many things though. Interesting idea, I like it.

The layout itself is not very good..might want to look into having someone create something for you..I'd even be willing to help, if you're wanting to hire someone cheap. PM me if you want.

Good luck with the idea, very original (at least I havn't heard of anything like it)!

    Hi there,
Saw ur site and the design...Well i must u r on to a good start and a great idea to....But i think about the design i can rate 5/10. Think u need a better eye catching design and logo and the font size of the Nav bar should be reduced. Rest assured its fine!

    Cheers

I like the new logo, but now there is another problem. The main content is slipping below the sidebar in my browser (winXp using Firefox 3). You also may need to do some extra work on ad placement, and ad blending, but it is certainly getting better.

much better. You should change your adsense so it doesn't say google ads underneath each ad but instead only after the last ad. I still think you need to work on the logo. It's not a logo you remember.

    I like the logo.

Navigation has a problem, I think. Text gets larger as it hovers.
Maybe use a title and a subtitle to pass on the message to a first-time visitor. Welcome to Freepaste is not attractive enough.

Great idea, I always thought of making a site sort of like this, but I just ended up emailing myself the information I wished to save or get back later. I think the layout and such could look a little better, more alive and new. It'd get a lot more members to look into it and use it if you used bright colors and kind of brought everything out more.
