    Looks very gimmicky and can come off to visitors that it's a scam. I say omit that. And maybe give the users more access to features on the site with out having to give their email address. Otherwise they might think that it's just a site looking to accumulate emails to spam.

    Hello there,

    Honestly, I will press "back button" or "close window" immediately if come across this kind of website. Try to use theme/design that "friendly" instead of "you will pay me some money when you dare to click the links somewhere in this page" theme.

    I'd have to agree with sla. A lot of ebook phishing sites have the same look and feel. Not saying thats what your site is about, but the appearance has that hint of, 'close browser'. Sorry.
