What do you think of my new forum for Text link sellers & buyers?

Well, some weeks passed since I created the forum. No aggressive advertising has been done, so it's pretty dead as you can see :D

I thought I would provide a new market place for link sellers and buyers. I have requested some feedback and all, but it seems either I did it in a wront timing or wront forum, so I thought I would open a new thread here as this is all about link development.

The idea is simply for both sellers and buyers could find the deals much easier. Categories are sorted by PR, and themes. Buyer can request links in the particular sub-forum.

Text Link Sellers - same link at my sig.

    I really like to see many people use this. After all everyone should get the benefit. Link sale forum here at DP is way too crowded. The top page is often 1 hour old! Any thread older than that is on page 2. Sometimes it's a little hard to find what I want there. It's overwhelming. So, I thought my idea might sort things out better for webmasters. The benefits would be;

    1. Another place to advertise for sellers.
    2. Sorted by PR. Easier to find deals.
    3. Community monitoring via reputation system
    4. No need of link brokers if this gets big enough!

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

I understand that ppl don't want to join just because the forum is new or looks dead even though I am sure many would like the way I set at my forum.

I am thinking of advertising it one way or another, but to me, providing this opportunity is good enough. I don't feel I am obligated to promote it though it may not make sense to some. In fact, I built it thinking I may throw it away if ppl don't like it.

The good thing is I'm ranked high at Google, so I am hoping to get ppl from there, if DP members don't want to join.

First comment - site needs a more professional look.

But i really like the concept

Second, make a category for regions of the united states.

Overall, I think the idea is good, but i think the execution is poor

text link sellers shouldnt post there site name, not sure if that is going to effect your idea or not. might have to think of a way around that.

Well, its because I didn't take much time for those things. I wonder though the impressoin matters so much. The actual place is just a forum. But I would consider that. I'm not sure about category for regions of the US??

I have suggested that sellers should not put their links or domain names on a thread or post. But that's all up to them. Some DP members do put links though as you know.

If it looks active ppl will join, I am sure. I guess "looks" can be important. I have actually done an offer, but no one seemed to be interested so I quit it :D I can offer my text links at the forum too by using diff names. I just haven't done that yet.

My offer is this free forum, so I don't feel I am obligated to offer more than that really. I am simply providing this so ppl can use it freely. It's not quite all about promotion in that sense, you know. I thought ppl at link sale forum had realized that place is way too crowded, hoping they would think mine would be useful. Of course that was my opinion.

    keyword : text link sellers

It's not popular now, but it may be in the near future :D Also targeting another one. I guess I like to get folks from SEs after all. Somehow I am not too interested in promoting anything in a forum. I never am aggressive in that. Of course $0 to invest so far. If this really doesn't work, I may sell the domain.

The domain name is good... But theres a little detail... Maybe you can design or get a better and more professional template... That one is too simple. The content is good... But just need some advertisement to get members and a better look.

You mean the domain page or forum itself? I think having more members attract more than just the look. Should I focus on that first?
