www.insaneonlinedeals.com I hope to get some decent SE traffic from it, soon. Anyone else ever try a site like this?
Shouldn't you be asking this question in the website reviews folder ??? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=91 this folder is for Commission Junction specific topics...
I like the way the site looks. However, I would be curious as to how well it converts. I think the key to getting someone to click through is to show them a good deal that makes them want to click. For example on your iphones post you are telling me to save money but I can't visualize it so I may decide that Ebay would be a great place to shop for an iphone but I will just visit them later without clicking your link. But, if you show me I can save money at Ebay on an iphone and I can see the item right in front of me I would be more likely to click through to check it out. Just my two cents.
yeah it looks great .. I suppose it's a wordpress blog .. not much categories .. which tool did you use to build that site ? I don't think you used the editor kit ?
I kinda did what you said by talking about how MUCH savings there is. http://www.insaneonlinedeals.com/cameras/canon-powershot-sd1000-71/
The site looks real good. I would be interested to know how well it does. You don't need a BANS store if you do it like that!
You really don't, and I think BANS is going to be in trouble because of footprints and duplicate content.
Correct, but what I want to know is how I can generate SE traffic from my unique content. I am starting to think that 150 word pages won't generate any traffic.
I'd be interested in what evidence backs up that statement. I have yet to see a problem. I'm not defending BANS, but do know that they plan to offer link and image masking in their next update. Also, I have trouble understanding how BANS store #1 becomes a duplicate of BANS store #2 when they address different products. Moreover, there really is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty. IMO, there are lots of unfounded myths surrounding duplicate content. That risk, if there really is one, also can be mitigated by adding some unique content to product pages and getting quality backlinks.
Exactly! People have Amazon stores (with exact product listings being fed in) as well and aren't being penalized for duplicate content. I rank very high for my BANS store (coinerror.org) for many different competitive terms.
I don't know too much about bans other than what I read here in this forum. I do use wordpress though for my ebay sites. I just think it is more seo friendly. The plugin I use is PHPBay to get the auctions on my blog. @ Twan. If I were you I would not target such a broad niche though. You will probably be better of building a bunch of sites with more narrow niches.
