What do you think of mirror sites?

I have someone right now who have submitted over 50 sites and after 38 approval i began to notice that most of them are of mirror sites. Do you delete the remaining and hunt for the suspected mirror sites and delete it or do you let it be?

I'm worried about that this person is link farming my directory and all are in one IP? This person did nt follow up on the submission guidelines, titles are Keywords rather than titles. She/he is working me and all those work she/he probably din't click a single banner ad to thank me for my hard work.

Alot of you have a better experience than i do of dealing with this, never would i thought that one person could spend hours submitting sites in my directory, come to think of it, it is not of "quality" type of sites that i would submit.

wwws focus on quality sites. If it is a mirror and you know that for a fact then - nuke em - specially if they are not approving their submission.

wwws .. nice directory. You are starting to / or already understand that there is more to a directory than links. Your detail pages are a great start, if you add additional info to the detail pages you will be well on your way!

My main objective right now is to seed this directory and work on the content later on as i will be including other things such as, Tutorials, webmasters info and such's. For now it will be a link directory.

 

I have a question regarding mirror sites if ya'll dont mind answering. I am considering purchasing Sponsored listings into a few directories but some of them state that this is a mirror site when I use the pr checker. How would this impact the quality of the backilink while I hopefully attempt to one day gain pr5+ status?!? Thanks all....still learnign about this whole directory thingie....heh

 

IMO, I would find the parent directory and submit there!

 

Off course i delete them.

They are just trying to get links to the same website trough cloaking.

I reject even the paid ones, no matter the price.

If you begin to let mirrored sites to enter, you will be flooded with them.

While these are not exactly the same as a mirror site, the results can be the same with search engines.

My directory is only a few weeks old, but I have already been hit by a couple of spammers who submitted multiple mirror sites, lots of real crappy scraper sites and sites that have zero content but lots of AdSense.
