Internet Explorer in general is not a bad browser. The reason that I use Firefox is the fact that you have access to thousands of addons which Internet Explorer does not have. Internet Explorer could use some sort of platform which would allow its users to install addons.
Internet Explorer is a HORRIBLE browser! If you are only going to look at the user interface then it's just fine but, technically, under the hood, it is old, antiquated, inept, incompetent, unable to meet modern standards and practices and a huge pain to those developing for the web. Internet Explorer holds back the web from using modern technologies and MUST be abolished to keep the web moving forward.
IE needs to improve Trident, for standards of course, and also a better design. I don't think the current one is really user friendly.
In Internet Explorer 9 includes many features. Internet Explorer has been subjected to many security vulnerabilities and concerns: Much of the spyware, adware, and computer viruses across the Internet are made possible by exploitable bugs and flaws in the security architecture of Internet Explorer. It provides wide range of web pages and certaine features within operating system including MS updates. Internet Explorer superseded Netscape only when it caught up technologically to support the progressive features of the time. it will bring back the glory days of late 90s to Internet Explorer. I think so
IE9 isn't finished. Isn't out yet. Only passes half what any other browser does on Acid3 tests. Doesn't implement as much of SVG. And half what will work on it is unknown yet YOU SAY it's better than FF?! Please tell us how you came to this conclusion.
How would you know? It's obvious from what you said that you never tried it. If you really did try it, you wouldn't be able to say such a thing because there are so many features not available there's no way you could say that. For example, the preview doesn't have a back button or tabs. So how can you say it's easier to use?
Internet Explorer 9 addresses all of the major concerns that users and critics have had with the world's most used browser. There are several new and interesting features. Web Slices lets you save predefined sections of a Web page for at-a-glance viewing. Instead of going to a traffic Web site for updates, the latest commuting news comes to you.
Which goes to show that you don't know what you're talking about. That statement is absolutely false and you have no business commenting on this. IE9 will continue its status as the world's worst browser when it comes out in two years or so.
I have started getting this message each time my computer is turned on,it comes up in a grey box with a white cross in a red circle.i just keep closing it.i am beginning to think it was a virus.
So does Walmart, but I don't shop there (ok, if I lived States-side, I wouldn't). Many features is a very vague statement, and many of those features are just as trashy as they've always been (and not necessarily useful). IE surpassed Netscape because it was bundled with the highest-selling OS and enabled as the default browser. Not because it was a super browser. and as it isn't even really a beta (as in, is a totally unfinished work in progress that doesn't even work with standard web technologies), it's kind of difficult to make a comparison at this stage (other than to say that if this is as good as it gets, it's a goner). It's kind of difficult to judge at this stage anything about it, other than it's unfinished and incomplete. Let's just wait and see shall we (though I'm willing to bet it'll be just as crappy as it's predecessors, based on past experience).
