What do you think of having "Fan Only" content?

I'm debating doing a landing page where someone has to click "Like" in order to get something, like a special cool promotion. Does this work?

 

You could also insert an opt-in form and collect leads in return you would give something for free.

I still don't have any idea yet, what is the function of Facebook "fan only", maybe i will look and learn about facebook.

Well instead, you can place some contests or offers on your fan page wall and ask your current fan you get their friends to like the page
You also have an option of viral marketing by posting some attractive images and catchy titles and short content. Later just share and tag your friends to the same post at regular intervals
