Clickbank is promoting their website with the use of "Clicky," and I think it is worth analyzing its effectiveness. I also think it is funny and several of the intelligent and witty posts here have made me laugh - thank you.

The people at Clickbank are not dumb - and they administer to thousands and thousands of marketers - some of them the best in the world, so I think they gave the placement and use of "Clicky" some serious thought.

It has given me an idea to try - I am going to look for appropriate images to place next to the main order button on my sales pages and see if more people click to the order page...

I think the reason there is a dog is because:

DOG TRAINING IS THE HOTTEST NICHE!

Everyone talks about it in their examples, and for good reason!

This "dog" concept is kinda stupid :)
It doesn't relate to anything on CB

Now that the dog has been up there for awhile, I find him distracting and tiresome.

If Clickbank has a purpose for the dog as a brand - it needs to be more interesting or better placed on the page. Don't get me wrong I am a dog lover, but to see that creature everytime I check my stats or otherwise go to clickbank adds no value to my experience...
