What do you think of charging $0.25 for regular listings

I was thinking charging such a small amount would keep out junk sites while still keeping it accessable allowing the directory to grow. On the other hand, I was wondering if such a low price would look cheap and of low quality to people who want a paid directory and deter the people who don't want to spend money, leaving nobody submitting

careful though, if you use paypal it still deducts money per transaction, hopefully it wont cost YOU money per submission lol

Yeah PayPal takes $0.30 out of each transaction, so you'd actually be losing money lol. Make it $0.49.

I would go for something like $1, if I were you. It is stilll just a small amount of money, and should not deter ssomeone from listing, yet it will stop a lot of spam. Of course paypal will get is .30.

Yes site express is correct Paypal will take $0.30+2.4% of the amount

Even if you have $1 paypal will take $0.34 per listing

So I would advice you to have $1.5 listing

as I am also going to change it

Id say go with a few bucks maybe 2-3 bucks for regular and 10 for featured
If your offering thumbnails shots that is.... if not then cut that in half.

just dont short change yourself is all remeber that paypal still deducts xx per transaction.

    thx

Agreed, $1.5 is reasonable price for no PR paid directory.

neah, i don't think this will be worth it, there are too many directories around to be worth the effort of paing 1$/listing....

IMHO, I think you'd better to make a real paid high quality directory charging more than that.
Peoples looking for free listing will not pay, even $0.25
Peoples looking for quality listing (and willing to pay higher rate) will think that it's a low quality directory and will go away, it's will look cheap.

I think charging $0.01 it’s a good way to prevent automated and spam submissions.
