What do you think of a Global Gold-Based Crypto payment system?

I think the future of currency and payment systems will change dramatically in the next 5 to 10 years. One company is leading the way by incorporating a gold-backed crypto on the blockcain, eliminating / reducing the big transaction fees merchant banks charge. This is going to be a game changer, what do you think?

 

I doubt that cryptocurrency and gold have a common way forward. They are too different.
