300 to 500 words usually enough, I have seen article from ezinearticles consist of 200 words but gets no 1 rank out of 20 millions competition. Your backlinks and PR are a lot more important,

First of all i would like to clear that there is nothing link "Good SEO Article". Whenever you write an article, keep the reader in mind and try to provide quality information. An article should be at least 500 words long. Length of an article do not affect the SEO in any way. Actually, people don't feel like reading lengthy articles and therefore it is not advisable to write lengthy ones. If you can't avoid writing lengthy articles then you must try to write a mesmerizing article which can hold the reader long enough. Title pays an important role in doing so

Between 500 and 600 words if you want to write an actual article that won't bore the readers. If you are looking to write content only for ranking than it is a completely different story.

Word length does not matter to much, just be sure to use your KW throughout your article, and get some links to it, and you will be fine.

Just write for people. Include your keywords, but write for people. For example, use pronouns. Don't keep repeating "vintage baseball cards" 50 times in an article.

300-500 words are good for keyword articles, but longer articles do serve a purpose. It depends on the goals for the article.

Informative articles should be around 400-600 words.

Blog posts depend and can range from 200-600 depending on the content.

Long sales pages - well they are just long

Technical articles will probably be 500-1500

Just check your density for your keywords phrases and don't try to make it fit if it doesn't. Being off by .3% isn't that big of a deal. Chances are your article will have keywords that you didn't even know were in it.

    Writing articles is not SEO....

Its writing articles and hoping you get some valuable links.....

SEO is a much more intense process done to the pages of a site, and includes proper structure on the server, as well as obtaining relevant links to the site you are optimizing.
