well.... it is just in beta mode :)

It could get good, gotta think ahead :D

I had a really good omen happen when I entered a brand new client site in there, which hasn't even been optimised yet or any backlinks at all - they received their first order!

I know it's just coincidence, but as soon as I entered the site - I logged out and decided to go play Unreal Tournament and was alerted new email arrived - turns out an order had been placed on their website, cool eh :) Nice coincidence.

I'd really REALLY like to know how they found the client site in the first place ... hmmmm:confused:

It's not a directory, it uses a bot to collect the data and to be honest I don't like it.

Yeah, I was wondering how it all worked, and if it might affect your ranking negatively? I haven't a clue about these things.

It calls itself a directory? What difference does it make if a bot collects the data - as to whether it can be categorised as a directory or not?

In the meantime I thought I'd give it a go and see how it pans out. It'll be interesting to see how many visitors turn up, or not :)

Could you tell me exactly why you don't like it?

Try allwebdirectories.com (I'm new & can't type live urls yet).

I like the fact that AllWebDirectories.com is a directory of smaller directories and is divided into separate niches.

Chances are that a webmaster will be able to find a relevant directory to submit a site :)

It looks quite good to me. The PageStrength seems to be about 3.5 for most pages, and the 'bot' does a good job of pulling the basic information out of the website. If you don't like what it does, you can always edit the information.

The quality of the default backlinks you get from this are fairly poor, as they only use your URL as the anchor or ALT. You can get better backlinks by editing your page so that it has multiple deep links with good keywords. Also add a good paragraph or two about your website containing your keywords.

I'm working on my own as I write...

    Cryo.
