Hey mates, I was wondering, would revenue sharing based websites be better for adsense than building a website from scratch? I came to this sense after doing a few thinking, websites like hubpages, squidoo, etcetera has traffic already, so the chances of your content being read is higher than on your blog, and besides these websites tends to be ranked easier and higher than blogs like blogger and wordpress.org. Am I wrong or it is all up to the needs and point of view?
your right. only the thing is, when you have a established blog with readers that come back, the chance your new written article will be read by others will be alot bigger then when you create a new lens or hub and start from scratch with marketing again.
And your little tiny piece of that traffic on the bigger sites will equal how much money? Put your destiny in the hands of others and rely on luck?
Well, I have a main blog, the articles I'm writing on these big websites are to try to get traffic to my main blog on blogspot, but it is really likely they will not visit my blog after all. I wrote two articles on hubpages and one in squidoo, there isn't much traffic in either of them. So I think I'll stick with posting on my blog, but it is bad when you write posts after posts and get no new visitors at all. I have submitted my website to social bookmarking, commented on dofollow blogs on my niche, wrote articles linking back to my website. The traffic I get all come from digital point. lol
You'd be better trying to build and develop your own blogs identity on the web with backlinks, content, PR etc. These article marketing sites are good if you can bring in traffic with minimal effort, but if you spend all your time on them then you'll only be benefiting them.
That's probably what I should be focusing on aye.. I should write focused posts as well, my posts were a bit vague so even thus the pages are indexed, it is really unlikely they are going to be found. Thanks
Well the thing about hubpages and squidoo is that they aren't like blogs. To rank on them you need to follow the guidelines, like you need to write more than 1,000 words, you need to use pics, video clips and tags. I wrote 10 hubs and I get 100 visitors a day on them, 50 from hubpages and 50 from the search engines. Also I make $1 a day from ads on there.
I think it is great ot share revenue but you have to make sure it is on a very busy site...Otherwise stick with your own...
