    Hello Everyone,

I have a e-commerce website that retails poker chips and accessories. I was wondering how I could improve the website even more than it already is, and I love working on it.

If you can please give me tips on how to improve my conversion rate, because that is where I am lacking the most right now.

As well please use constructive criticism, for instance if you dislike something please tell me what you would use instead.

Thanks everyone in advance for your opinions!

    Best Regards,
    Nick

    Hi there,

I like the look at the site and I checked all the links etc and they seem fine. Are you getting targeted traffic to the site or just general traffic? Because that might make a difference to the conversion rate.
    Best wishes
    Lisa

    Lisa,

I believe I might be getting a little bit of both. Some of my traffic comes from search engines for the products I sell. Then the other traffic is coming from referring websites that I have advertisements on.

    Best Regards,
    Nick

The only other comment I would make is that for my taste the site seems a little bland, but I doubt that will be affecting your conversions, lol. For example the grey and the green are not very exciting colors, individually or together, but I don't know enough about the effect of colors on sales to suggest what might look better. The other thing is that it doesn't have a strong call to action anywhere, but again I don't know if you need that type of thing on a retail site. I am thinking of things like a flash banner along the top featuring a special offer; or your free shipping offer type thing.
    Best of luck
    Lisa :)

    Lisa,

Thanks for the comment! I would put a flash banner on top but I personally think that it would overload the amount of flash on the home page.

    Thanks,
    Nick

i think it needs to be clearer on the front page that you are an ecommerce site (e.g. have a "newly listed" slider or something)

for me to know that its ecommerce i need to see a $ sign on the front page

I really like the simplicity along with the logo, however others have stated the front page is not very clear.

I was thinking about setting up a new product slider instead of the flash show that is there. What do you think about that?
