Hello! I'd like to ask about your opinion about keyword: "looking for girl". I am a bit confused, as Google Adwords tool tells me that it's searched about 40k times a month, but SeoBook Keyword Tool says that it has nearly no traffic. So, what do you think, where's the truth?
Using Exact Match Type in the Adwords tool shows a lot less. Those numbers you are seeing are most likley varations of looking for girl.
Common sense tells me it's not looked for much - it doesn't actually make sense "looking for girls" maybe - or "looking for a girl" - but even those aren't obvious phrases for dating tips
I see, but I've already bought the domain, so I am going to try anyway... With .com domain and some backlinks, it should be easy to gain high position for that keyword.
Hey tomksoft, According to Google Adwords, the term "looking for girl" with an EXACT search yields only 720 searches/month on average for the last 12 months and Insufficient Data for the month of June. Also, the CPC is only $0.88 which means you'll probably get anywhere from $0.05-$0.22/click on average from a conservative standpoint. Not sure how worthwhile it is to target this niche. You can certainly give it a shot to see what steps are involved to get a site to #1 but don't be discouraged if there's not much organic traffic from the search engines. I once picked a niche that showed 150 searches/day in wordtracker and got to #1 within 1 month. My stats showed only 1-2 hits/day. Hope that helps!
It's bloody hell strange... Here's a screenshot (set to all countries, english only): http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/9243/keywordyp4.jpg , I can see 40500 avg searches...
i think fro the google point of view the search terms "looking for girl" this type of words are not important (for, the, a an, of, on from, in) from algorithm point of view
in adwords if you see the avg search volume is 22,200 which is quite good. And if you go for other tools like wordtracker or keyword suggestion than the search count is 0. But you can go for keywords like "good looking girl" or "nice looking girl which has avg search volume of around 2,400 and 390 in adwords and about 5 and 3 in other two tools. And like seoanand said "for" is not counted in the algorithms of google. i hope this helps
I'm not advising you to target this particular keyword, but from my experience of doing SEM for a dating site, people do use search terms like this. People are strange, what can I say.
