Hello DP users I have few questions in my mind and they are related to future of Blogging... What do you think about Future of blogging?? Are you willing to take blogging as your profession?? Should I take it as full time Job?? Can you afford to quit your day Job for Blogging?? How'll blogger blog in Future?? and are you Ready for Future?? Please answer them in detail Regards
i take blogging as my side job. you can make it your main job as long as profitable. In the future, who knows? As we all know that technology is advance so fast. Take it while it can give you money.
I think that the main problem with blogging might be too much similar content and ideas. Some subjects (like blogging itself or online business) are simply overcrowded with re-written content. Niche thematic blogs seem to be more interesting in terms of future profits. However, I'm quite skeptical if we speak of blogging as a full-time job since it's only a part of the business - there should also be products, services etc for which blogging is a supplement.
I am a professional blogger since late last year, but I am not only making money online from my blogs. I know it's quite impossible to make a living from blogging, so I have some other online money making activities and a bit from offline. Quitting my previous job is a long story to tell, but the main reason is I can see more future in being online rather than being an employee. It's risky, but I should take it.... I think no one can be ready enough for the future. All we can do is our best...
I am doing a full time job where my full day-time involve. Can i be a blogger using 2/3 hours at night that help me to make some money? Does a blogger need to do brain works or to handle stress to earn from blogging? If yes, what level of brainworks involve in blogging. I would be very glad for potentials answers. Thanks in advance.
I think that no one should look at blogging as a full time earner. I think the future is one or two high quality blogs per owner, not dozens, although i used to think that many was ok
Hi 0123go because i began to start a few blogs, one shortly after another, on different niches, and its time consuming to write unique quality posts regularly, as well as running other types of sites at the same time. I find that some blogs end up um not being neglected, but posted on less. I actually had a large list of other blog niches i was going to start too, thinking about it now i dont know what in hell was going through my mind to think i could keep up with all of that if i went that far with it. I currently have a handful of niche blogs which i plan to continue posting on and growing gradually. Im not sure how other people would like to approach it but i think i would recommend starting one blog, work on it for 6 months, then if your eager to start blogging about something else on a seperate one, by that time your first one is building nicely. Plus you have to have some time set aside for promoting your blog, upgrading, looking after it basically.
Where do you expect to earn your money from, I would advise you to gain skills in as many areas as possible, as it is valuable to life and earning money. Don't waste your time on things which are not worthy of it.
Actually I asked previous Question because I am too confused about having one and multiple and I am still inclined toward having multiple Blogs and Projects instead of One... What do you think about Buying Content Mr Pipes??
I never buy content for blogs, apart from the odd stock image here and there but not articles. Unique written by myself, im actually looking at selling off a couple of my less fave blogs, now preferring to concentrate any of my blogging time to a set few. One blog in particular i prefer working on, easier to write for and has the most content on it.
Blogging is competive and it's a job /career. it's not a get rich quick kind of thing. You will work just as hard and probably even harder working as a blogger. It's the starving artist of the internet
You should only go full time if you are making good money with it, I know someone who gave up his job to try and make a full time living from blogging and he has now been kicked out of his flat and his car has been taken away. As for the future of blogging I think there will be a small selection of bloggers who will make a lot of money but the rest will be pulled down by the growing band of greedy undercutting fuckers who will happily stab everyone else in the throat to get an extra ten cents click. End rant.
Haha, I second that Dean! Who knows what the future holds. I guess I can sit in my cubical for 8 hours a day and be bored to death. The best part about blogging is that that anyone can do it but few are really good at it.
Blogging may also die as more people would prefer to share their ideas and recommendations through social networking sites. Will blogging be dead? It can. There are looming signs.
You guys really think blogging is a profession? I hope you're joking when you say somebody quit their job to become a "full-time blogger"...
first 'dean' is correct, only go to blogging when you have enough traffic and passive income next to wd, becoming a full time blogger is very very difficult as everyone has heard; google love blogs and many people give away valuable information on free blogs, many guru's then monetise this information in a ebook and using social media to promote the ebook which they copied off that obscure blog. so it is possible to be become a FT blogger if you contruct your campaign correctly, but do not give valuable info away.. in short do not give away valuable knowledge in a blog, but build your audience (note to online women entrpreneurs, there are many networking groups (for women) which you can use to propel your website to earn a good living) in summary build your blog around discussions use forums and social media to bring in new subscribers and promote your blog slowly, these principles will help you maintain the passion and succeed in moving from a passion for blogging to blogging full time with a passion stay tuned i will be releasing a Custom WP install with a updated ping list and a number of seo optimised thems with a number of plugins pre-installed so that noobs can blog away quickly and efficiently and be found in Search engines
'Blogging for a living' is risky. People read blogs for free. Blogs take away the readers from classical newspapers, but advertisers don't follow the readers to buy ad space in the blogs as they do in the newspapers.
