We are pretty cultured, but due to the diverse range of people here its more multicultural than one particular culture

Lazy person... I think you mean as in we are a bit slow, not that smart, lazy kind of sit around and do nothing kinda thing?

I love saying g'day instead of hello or hi to people from overseas, sometimes I put it on a bit and use lots of fair dinkum aussie words :)

Australia - a country surrounded by water.

Yet we are running out of water for a country that has only a population of 25 million.

Oh yeah. Don't forget we drink Ketchup straight from the bottle on a cold night and we hold the annual thong throwing Olympics. We like a little bit of beer. Just a little. ;)

Heard the taxi drivers are crazy down there ;)

In Sydney they deliberately drive the wrong direction so they can get extra money - bastards. I got them figured though, just went to the house across the road and got picked up from there, that way they though we are locals and know the area, so they went straight to the place and didn't try and rip us off :)

Best country in the world. I lived in St Kilda for a while and it was the best time of my life (so far).

You drink like girls, though. Schooners, my ass.

Rum? Only the Poms drink Rum here. A carton of beer goes a long way here in OZ. There are many things to be bartered for a carton. Also, when you start a new job there is a startin' carton and when you leave the company there is always the partin' carton.

Beer is everything here in OZ.

    Col :)

Tasmania is part of Australia too.:) ..it should actually belong to the Dutch technically...it owes its name to them.

BTW..you guys are brilliant at sports. In cricket, you are quite good ( but most of your team is ageing ;) )

At hockey you have guys like Dwyer, Brooks, McCann and Livermore.

Thorpedo retired but you still have Hackett.

At athletics, you had Pittman and Freeman.

At squash, Fitzgerald, the Grinhams, Hunt, Palmer, White....

The list can go on and on, but this is all I am prepared to type at this moment.

Which is probably why it's the nicest part of the country :) Infact it feels like another country all together - Hobart is my favourite 'city' on Earth. I love Melbourne, but it's becoming 'just another city' way too quickly.

You obviously didn't make it to Melbourne - ask for a schooner in Melbourne and you'll get your sissy ARSE kicked. :p
