1. What might I expect to pay for diet and anti-aging keywords guys? I'm entering a new area here. If I want to promote some of the programs on Neverblue or Hydra most of which have about a $30 payout. 2. With my own landing page and optimized keywords and ads, what kind of volume do you think I can drive? How many conversions a day might I get if I spend $15 to $20 to get a $32 payout?
lol - try it out on a small scale, whatever plan you are thinking. Then alter it, if necessary. repeat, till you found a working formula
A good test is to go on worst case scenario, say 1% conversion. If your commission is $30 per sale then you want to convert 1 in every 100 which would mean 30 cents a click, you would break even. I recommend not worrying about how much traffic you can drive, who cares if you drive 1000 people to your site in a day and it's costing you more than you are going to make? Aim for long tail keywords 3+ that will cost you less and can allow you to be VERY targeted, you will find less competition and visitors to your site that are after exactly what you are selling. Do not get into the mindset that more traffic will get you more sales, I know some people who have 15 vistors a day with 25-30% conversion for $100 commission per sale, give me those keywords AND only 15 or so visitors any day of the week.
I think initially you will have bid high along with well-optimized landing page to get some impressions and evetnally clicks. Try to maintain your quality score and click through rate and then you can lower your rates. I think you have to spend little bit more initially than $20 to taste the water. most importantly track your campaign. track your conversion ratio according to keywords. Eliminate keywords those are only producing clicks and no results.
