I never used software for web traffic. But you can visit the site alexa.com

 

web traffic is the traffic coming to your website, You can use tools to track your traffic such as Google Analytics and StatCounter

Google analytics is a free tool. Your can sign up or use an existing Google account to configure it and there is a code that you would have to include in your html files.

 

its free- visit http://www.google.com/analytics/sign_up.html and sign up there

 

you need to register to google analytics. They will give you small JS code you need to put it in your HTML source.

After review they will show you your website visitor.
