i always saw this in directory sites. what does it means? is this something to do with your keywords? can someone explain it to me whats the use of this. thanks
A page is indexed when it is found by google and other search engines. You can check whether you site is indexed by going to google and searching the phrase "site:example.com" if you get no results, then your website is not indexed yet. The best way to get indexed is to start building more links to your website. For more information on this, you might want to read throuh www.linkbuildingbible.com
i see.so the main thing here is to build link. now how am i going to do that? is that when you submit your site to directories? how long does it takes to see your site on search engines? well im done with submitting to 10 directories is this enough? what else can you suggest to make my site visible. sorry for asking to o many question man. this is my first time on web developing. i appreciate your quick reply.
It will get even confusing later, Rap, when you realize that some of your pages are listed in Google's Main Index and others have been listed in the Secondary Index. Keep writing good content and practice good SEO, linkbuilding etc and hopefully most of your pages will get indexed in the main. Good luck! Odd Lot
