What do you look for in a Wordpress theme?

I have been dabbling with wordpress themes and I am looking to start building more full featured themes (options pages, custom widgets, builtin plugin support, etc...)

I was wondering what type of features would you like to see in a wordpress theme.

1. What options would you like to be able to change (i.e. number of columns, style of blocks, navigation bar location and function, etc...)
2. What plugins would you like the theme to support?
3. Anything else you can think of to add to a theme?

I would like to compile a list and use it as a starting point for my next free wordpress template.

 

I like to switch the columns.

Plugins... Akismet, AdsenseDeluxe, Related Posts, WP Backup, and others I can't think of at the moment

 

So far we have.

1. Ability to modify the number and location of the columns.
2. Support for the following plugins: Akismet, AdsenseDeluxe, Related Posts, WP Backup.

Anymore things that you would like to see in a Wordpress theme?

 

Lol I'm just using the default theme ,just add the ads in the source and I leave it at that xD

 

one thing i see in a theme is it must look decent and there must not be extensive use of images. one important thing to chose a WP/Joomla theme is that it must be working right in FF, IE and Opera. Also it must fit with resolution variations
