Some of you may be aware that I'm currently pursuing my MBA, part of which requires a thesis/industry project. I can't get into the specifics of the project right now (as it hasn't been officially approved by the graduate review board), but I will say that I'm launching a new web hosting company for part of it. In doing so, I want to ask everybody here what you look for in a web hosting company. We're already setup to enable 24/7 technical support, and the servers will have all your standard features (i.e. php 5, perl/cgi, mysql, unlimited domains, SSL/HTTPS, cPanel, Fantastico, daily backups, etc). What I want to know is what specifically do you look for when picking a web host. From what I've seen (and from my own personal experience), the two biggest things tend to be technical support (which we have), and competitive pricing (which we have). I'd appreciate your input
I am also doing my MBA, will help you as much as I can. You need to segment the market first, then from there on establish their requirements. For my company case, stability, security and speed is the foremost importance. Also availability of phone support in case of any problems that may arise.
