Hi guys, I am starting a new site and I need some of your input on what you look for in a website before you buy it? What are the main factors that you look at? Some examples: Domain age, Website age, Page Rank, Possibility of Expansion, Ad Revenue, Domain Name, Brandability, Revenue / Month, Traffic, Alexa Ranking, Backlinks, Original Content, Good Price, Niche, Market Value, etc, etc, etc. Those are just a few things I thought of off the top of my head, If there is something else you look for, please do list it. I appreciate your input!
Although I haven't bought many completed websites, I'm always looking. I'm more interested in a good, brandable domain that I can build up in a niche market. Original content is more of a bonus so that I don't have to do it myself.
Mainly I Look At 1.)Domain Name 2.)Pagerank 3.)Traffic Stats 4.)Revenue Stats 5.)Content Of Site There Are Some Other Factors Also. Thanks
Time and money needed to run the site is one thing that should be in your list. I should know the time that I need to devote to the site, whether or not somebody needs to be hired etc etc.
Possibility of Expansion Traffic Revenue / Month And then if it has original content or content that I know something about. So I have a chance to expand the site and make it better. But I guess that only goes for smaller siter because I really never bought a bigger one...
Thanks guys! Much appreciated! Gr8liverpoolfan: Thats a good one, I probably wouldn't have thought of that one.. Thanks !
1) Domain 2) SERP ranking 3) Page Rank 4) Anything else on the visitors (the most important thing) Visitors convert to money
first thing i check is alexa graph...if its constant for a long time then you can tell lots of traffic from SE is cmg..if not then i ask for all the details...pr doesnt matter to me much........
