Hi guys, I am starting a new site and I need some of your input on what you look for in a website before you buy it?

What are the main factors that you look at? Some examples:

Domain age, Website age, Page Rank, Possibility of Expansion, Ad Revenue, Domain Name, Brandability, Revenue / Month, Traffic, Alexa Ranking, Backlinks, Original Content, Good Price, Niche, Market Value, etc, etc, etc.

Those are just a few things I thought of off the top of my head, If there is something else you look for, please do list it.

    I appreciate your input! :D

Although I haven't bought many completed websites, I'm always looking. I'm more interested in a good, brandable domain that I can build up in a niche market. Original content is more of a bonus so that I don't have to do it myself.

Time and money needed to run the site is one thing that should be in your list.

I should know the time that I need to devote to the site, whether or not somebody needs to be hired etc etc.

    Possibility of Expansion
    Traffic
    Revenue / Month

And then if it has original content or content that I know something about. So I have a chance to expand the site and make it better.

But I guess that only goes for smaller siter because I really never bought a bigger one...

    1) Domain
    2) SERP ranking
    3) Page Rank
    4) Anything else on the visitors (the most important thing)

    Visitors convert to money
